Community Service - A Season of Hope

Community Service - A Season of Hope
March 19, 2026

There is nothing quite like the magic of the holidays, but when you add wagging tails, festive whiskers, and a visit from Mrs. Claus, it becomes something truly special.

How We Transformed Our Lobby for the Holidays

On December 13, 2025, the lobby at Hope Veterinary Care (HVC) underwent a complete transformation. Thanks to the incredible imagination of our staff, we traded stethoscopes for garland and turned our waiting room into a winter wonderland straight out of the North Pole!

Community Generosity: A Holiday Photo Event Supporting Local Pets and Seniors

While the decorations were dazzling, the real stars were our patients and clients. We invited furry friends to sit for photos with Mrs. Claus (aka Anna, our receptionist), and the results were heartwarming. From brave pups to curious cats, our patients were absolute pros in front of the camera. Check out the full photo gallery here!

But more importantly, our community showed up in a big way to support those in need. Through the generosity of our clients, we were able to raise $1,400 for the RIVMA Companion Animal Foundation. We also collected a sleighful of pet food, litter, and toys for the Meals on Wheels Rhode Island Chapter, ensuring that local seniors and their beloved companions have everything they need this season.

Hope Veterinary Care’s Holiday Event Inspires Community Spirit

Chief of Staff, Dr. Karen Farren, was overwhelmed by the turnout and shared, “THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! Our patients were amazing subjects, and our clients were extremely generous. Our staff did most of the legwork to bring this idea to life, your imagination made everything so much more special. We may be a small clinic, but we certainly do big things together!”

The initiative and heart shown by our team is an inspiration this holiday season. Events like this don’t just happen; they take a village of dedicated, passionate people. Thank you, HVC team, for your tireless dedication and for making the holiday season bright for so many pets and people in Rhode Island!
